Graduation!
March 20 – the Recognition Day at the Maryhill School of Theology. The day marked the successful toil of 31 graduates after four years of theological studies. Scholastics Brian Vincent Rances, MI, Mushtaq Anjum, MI and Ignasius Sibar, MI (see photo) were part of the graduating class also known as the Saklay Batch. The event held in CICM provincialate grounds started with the celebration of the Mass presided by Bishop Honesto Ontioco, Bishop of Cubao.
Bishop Florentino Lavarias was among the
concelebrating priests who were formators of different congregations
and clergy-professors of MST. The recognition ceremony followed
promptly after the mass. Afterwards, dinner was served, during which
some batches and celebrity artists rendered songs. The simple and
meaningful celebration ended with the video presentation of the Saklay
batch.

Summer is
indeed vacation time especially for the Indonesian and Pakistani
scholastics, who will be enjoying their two month vacation in their

retreat, and the renewal of vows. Non-academic activities are in store
for the Filipino scholastics. Some of them will have their summer
exposure in different apostolate areas such as San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish
in Bulacan, Our Lady of La Paz Parish in Makati, Our Lady of Annunciata
Parish in Boso Boso, Antipolo, Lung Center of the Philippines, and
Cainta. Some will be taking their CPE at the St. Camillus Pastoral
Healthcare Center.
