It’s all about hope and good news… only here at SCPHC.
A MOA has been signed.
On Feb. 21, 2009 the board meeting of the Pastoral Care Foundation of the Philippines (PCF) began at 9:20am at the St. Camillus Pastoral Healthcare Center. In attendance were Fr. Philip Lazatin, SDB, Sr. Rita Van Damme, ICM, Sr. Tina Agiular, OP, Sr. Tentai Saniel, RC, Sr. Marie Therese Yusay, SPC, and Mrs. Flora Calleja. Sr. Fe Santos, SMI, the corporate secretary, was also present.
A highlight of the meeting was the signing of a
Memorandum of Agreement between the St. Camillus Pastoral HealthCare
Center and the PCF of the Philippines. Fr. Ivo Anzelmi, MI
representing the St. Camillus Pastoral Healthcare Center, and Fr.
Philip, representing the PCF of the Philippines, were the signatories.
Sr. Rita and Sr. Fe signed as witnesses. The signing of the MOA, which
is renewable every five years, signaled the official transfer of the
PCF office from Makati Medical Center to SCPHC.
The SCPHC stockroom and cabinets have been
prepared for the transfer of the PCF files and books. Let us just hope
for the best – best wishes to the PCF as they put their thrust under
the care of the SCPHC.
A CPE quarter has ended & another will soon start.
Another quarter of CPE is over. On March, 14,
2009, Saturday, after the five day trip to ILOCANDIA, the fifth CPE
batch ended their ten week CPE journey. The five elements headed by
their supervisor Tentai, the two Camillians Benny and me, Liz, an FMM
Sister, and Daphne, a mother, exchanged hugs and kisses as they bid
farewell to each other. As usual, it was a poignant culmination. Yet,
as Kubler Ross suggests, we must just let it go with the process until
all could accept that it is indeed over. Anyway, there would always be
a time to be with each other again.
In the meantime, we can remain optimistic and
supportive to the next CPE quarter batch. Six Camillian Scholastics are
expected to take part in the said journey, and most of them are aiming
for supervisory level. It seems that CPE supervisors are now slowly
sprouting from our Camillian seed bed. That’s great!
Watch out for details about the next quarter.
As we wait, let us pray for our six confreres and for the success of
their journey. Good luck, Bros!!! Till Next…
