Feature Community: Our Lady of Good Health Community
Written by Sch. Mushtaq Anjum, MI

Our Lady of Good Health Community based in Our Lady of La Paz Parish (Makati) is composed of three members, Fr. Tom Welu, Fr. Robert Chua, and Fr. Nards Nono, with Fr. Robert as local superior.

For the past three years now, the community has been joined by a guest priest, Fr. Reji Chako, a Camillian confrere from India doing further studies at the De La Salle University.

The three confreres have distinctive ministries: Fr. Tom serves the barangay residents of Balugo (Dumaguete) and is able to reach out to the people there, particularly the sick.

Fr. Nards is the procurator of the community as well as the director of St. Camillus Polyclinic in Makati.  He also assists in the parish particularly by helping Fr. Robert administer the sacraments.

Fr. Robert Chua has been serving as the parish priest of Our Lady of La Paz Parish since August 31, 2006.  He strives to respond to the needs of the parish community as best as he can, working hand in hand with the parishioners in implementing the Mission and Vision of the Archdiocese of Manila.

In keeping with the Camillian charism, Fr. Robert spearheads the celebration of a Mass for the Sick regularly at 9:00 A.M. every third Sunday of the month.  Other important ministries that the parish has launched are the youth ministry, the music ministry, the feeding program, and evangelization through the efforts of the youth and through the Parish Renewal Experience seminars.
